In Redbridge we aim to improve the outcomes for young children and reduce the gaps between them; to develop with partners sufficient childcare to enable parents to work; and to provide information to parents about childcare and a wide range of services that may be of benefit to them in bringing up their children.

Families Information Direct is available to all families providing information advice and guidance about childcare and early education including funded places for three and four year olds; children's activities and advice for families.

Children's Centres are bringing childcare to local communities as well as other  services such as health advice and health visiting and midwifery services; parenting and family support; and help for parents to move into training or work.

Our Early Years Pedagogy team are working with pre-school groups in Redbridge to raise the quality of early education.

Our Childcare Development team are supporting the development of new childcare in Redbridge where it is most needed and working with established childcare providers to raise quality and organise services that meet the needs of local families.

Our Operational Childcare team are running childcare and out of school services in local communities. They are responsible for the organisation and management of childcare in five Children's Centres and one after school club in the borough. Our Training and Development Team are delivering qualification training for early years and out of school providers supporting them in developing their knowledge and skills as they care for children in Redbridge.
