The Housing and Community Services Cluster has produced an Equality and Diversity Strategy, which sets out plans to meet its statutory and local responsibilities around equalities and diversity. The document gives standards and targets for service and workforce improvements for the following Service Areas:

  • Adult Social Services
  • The Crime Reduction Group
  • Housing Services
  • Payments and Benefits
  • Culture, Sport and Community Learning Services

The Strategy will be subject to regular consultative reviews with staff, service users and stakeholders, to ensure that it continues to meet the changing needs of all those who will be affected by its implementation.

A summary of the Strategy in Bengali, English, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Somali and Urdu is also available as well as in plain language with illustrations. All these documents can be found below.
