The Council, Police and others work together in the Redbridge Community Safety Partnership to reduce
crime and make Redbridge safer. A new approach to neighbourhood
policing and a dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour team have
helped to have a significant impact on making Redbridge a safer
place to live. In fact
the average number of crimes was lower here than in
any inner or outer London Boroughs. In the last year:
- Violent crime fell by 11%
- All reported crimes were down 13%
- Motor crime dropped 24% and retail theft was reduced by
20%
- 23 ASBOs and 23 anti-social behaviour contracts were issued
last year
- Racial incidents have fallen by one-third
- Our youth offending team is regarded as one of the best in the
country
Redbridge has one of the lowest levels of crime in London and
the council is working closely with the local
police to help make Rebridge even safer. The borough's
21 safer neighbourhoods help to ensure the police maintain a
local focus and develop local knowledge. To find out more about
about police activity within the borough, download the latest
edition of their monthly
