Getting Redbridge Ready for 2012

Redbridge is celebrating the coming together
of art and sport as part of the four year Cultural Olympiad
Festival. This event marks the countdown to 2012 and is part of a
weekend of London wide events celebrating the capital’s role as
host city for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Come and enjoy arts and dance performances, workshops and taster
sessions courtesy of the Redbridge Arts Development &
Events Team and Taste Asia. Music and dance performances
in the Youth Marquee courtesy of the Youth Service and many have a
go sports sessions courtesy of the Redbridge Sports Development
Team and Active4Life.
In addition to the above, Team Extreme will be performing tricks
and stunts which will amaze you, plus you can take part in water
activities on the lake or try 9-holes of crazy golf. Don't
miss the truly spectacular Lion Dance performance and the fabulous
Cranbroo
k Youth Circus.
Once seen, never forgotten! IROKO are an exciting award-winning
theatre-in-education company and their participatory drumming
workshops brought to life using songs, chants and dance are
guaranteed to be an exciting, exhilarating and fun experience for
all the family.
Enjoy exotic food and drink, great music and entertainment, and
fun and games for everyone.
