FAQ for Arts Development: working with others | Contact for Arts Development: working with others

The Redbridge Arts Development and Events team can provide support and advice to:

  • community groups
  • voluntary organisations
  • schools or other agencies
  • services working with or wanting to work with the arts or stage their own events and festivals

Currently, we are working in partnership with the Forest Farm Peace Garden who are organising an arts and crafts day in October and previous grant aid has been provided to:

Theatrical arts

The Kenneth More Theatre is one of Ilford's key assets, while the Redbridge Drama Centre in South Woodford gives people aged 21 and over, the chance to join in a production themselves, such as in the Redbridge Adult Theatre Workshops ( RATW ). Younger people get a chance too, in the special children's theatre workshops regularly organised by the centre.

Musical arts

School-age musicians are supported by the Redbridge Music Service who organise concerts throughout the year including at the Royal Albert Hall.

Publications

We have a cultural strategy for the borough, a hard copy of which can be requested by contacting Culture, Sport and Community Learning Services
