The new planning system places an emphasis on strengthening
community and stakeholder involvement in the planning process. The
Statement of
Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how local
communities and stakeholders with an interest in the area can play
a part in the preparation and revision of planning documents and
the consideration of planning applications. On the 25th May
2006 the SCI was formally adopted. The following documents
