The Local Development Framework is a portfolio of planning documents, individually known as Local Development Documents. It delivers the spatial development strategy for the Borough and builds upon existing local and regional strategies and initiatives, in particular the Sustainable Community Strategy.

The Redbridge Local Development Framework is currently made up of the following documents:

Development Sites with Housing Capacity Development Plan Document (PDF,60MB)

Proposals Map

The Development Plan Documents are accompanied by a map known as a Proposals Map and this shows the coverage of policies and site allocations.

Other Useful Documents

Each document has been prepared with a supporting evidence base and tested against a Sustainability Appraisal to test the effects the proposed policies against Social, Economic and Environmental objectives in promoting sustainability.

Copies of all these documents can still be viewed at the One Stop Shop (Lynton House, Ilford), all Redbridge libraries (including the mobile libraries) and the Planning and Regeneration web pages.
