Counties and Grove Estates Draft Character Area Appraisal

In July 2008 a draft Character Area Appraisal of the Counties and Grove Estates was published by the Conservation Studio on behalf of the Council. It is now available to view online using the links below:

Conservation areas are areas of special architectural or historic interest. They have a character or appearance which we want to preserve or enhance.

There are now fifteen conservation areas in Redbridge.

The designation of a conservation area brings additional responsibilities for the Council and changes the amount and nature of development that can be done without planning permission.
