About the School
Wanstead High School is a mixed
comprehensive school for students aged 11-18. Our central
philosophy is that all children can be successful learners and we
aim to provide an environment which stimulates and encourages our
students to maximise academic achievement. The school has a good
academic record that has improved significantly over recent years.
We pride ourselves in having a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic
staff, an ethos which combines academic achievement with community
spirit, and opportunities for wider enrichment. We promote a strong
code of values based on respect and tolerance and we encourage our
students to be good citizens.
Wanstead High School has been awarded
Specialist Status as a Performing Arts College. This has allowed us
to expand and improve our facilities and curriculum, and
importantly increased the opportunities for our students and staff
to extend learning within the local community.
