About our school

Wells Primary School is situated in the north-west of the London Borough of Redbridge, in a quiet road just off the High Road, Woodford Green.  The school is within reach of Woodford Station on the Central Line and is well served by bus routes.

The school catchment area is composed of almost entirely owner-occupied housing and is bordered by the boroughs of Waltham Forest and Essex.

The school was first opened in 1967 and is named after the many wells that used to run through this area.  It is largely a single storey building, although a new extension was opened in 1997 with an upstairs classroom.  When the extension was opened by the Mayor of Redbridge, a time capsule was buried under the school and is due to be opened in 2047.

We have a new visitor reception area as well as a large school hall, dining area, library, computer suite, music tuition room, two ample playgrounds and a grass area for use in fine weather.  Our Nursery opened in 1995 and has its own well-equipped outdoor play area.

Our Aims
