About the School

Mossford Green Primary and Nursery School is a one and a half form entry school with 280 pupils aged 3-11.  Our purpose-built Nursery opened in September 1998.

The buildings are modern with roomy, well-equipped classrooms and the school is set in extensive and attractive grounds with playgrounds and grass areas.

The school is working to promote high standards in all areas.  We aim to help the pupils develop enquiring minds and the ability to question and discuss issues rationally.   We are concerned to ensure that all children reach their full potential in all aspects of their academic, physical and social development.

We endeavour to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum within the National Curriculum Framework.

We have a very active Parents Association supporting the school through a number of social and fund-raising events.  Parents are welcome to class assemblies, concerts, plays and sports days.  A number of parents are able to support the children in their classes.  Parents evenings are held each term to discuss children's progress.

Through our Care and Discipline Policy we promote good behaviour.  We have a positive approach to discipline and have a commendation system to recognise good behaviour, punctuality, regular attendance and pupils' achievement.
