About the School

Manford Primary School is situated in the north of the Borough.  It is a large and growing county primary school with 379 full time children and 65 three to five year olds in the attached Nursery.

The school aims to provide a continuous and progressive broad and balanced curriculum for all its children encouraging them to achieve the highest possible standards and fulfil their potential emotionally, academically and physically.

The school has two classes for each year group and classes of no more than 30 children.  Children with special needs are well catered for with the equivalent of one full time teacher assessing needs and giving support following individual education plans.  The school is fully adapted for wheelchair use.

Children at Manford are encouraged to become independent learners with lively, enquiring minds.  A wide programme of extra curricular activities, as well as exciting curriculum opportunities, foster children's abilities to acquire and use knowledge and skills to apply themselves to tasks in preparation for their own future.

Manford Primary School encourages parents to work in partnership with school staff to get the best out of children.  The school has a behaviour policy and believes in equality of opportunity.
