School information

Cranbrook Primary School situated on the PLA site in Cranbrook, South Ilford opened in September 2007 with the reception year group and the nursery. It is four forms of entry will have a total number of 840 pupils plus nursery.

The school includes a Children's Centre and and will include a nursery providing places for 0 - 5 year olds and will deliver early years education integrated with childcare. It also provides family support, outreach to parents and child and family health services.

Cranbrook Primary School provides 'state of the art' accommodation with modern teaching and support facilities, integrated IT and internet connection with the potential for video teaching/conferencing with other schools - even internationally.  It also has purpose designed areas for play, sports, recreation and quiet reflection.

As an extended school the facilities will be available for the community for use out of school hours and at weekends and will include:

  • wide ranging sports areas, managed by Leisure, dedicated to youth training and community use during school hours 
  • a range of community facilities such as the hall, meetings rooms and training/teaching facilities to be developed with the community
  • good parking provision and one-way drop off system to mitigate perceived traffic problems.
