The Diversity team is responsible for incorporating
equality and diversity across the Housing and Community Services
cluster which include the following service areas:
- Adult Social Services
- Housing Services
- Payments and Benefits
- Culture, Sport and Community Learning Services
This involves initiatives like developing an Equalities and
Diversity training programme, assisting services to review their
functions incorporating equality legislation such as the Race
Relations Amendment Act 2000, Disability Discrimination Act 2005
and Equality Act 2006.
The Diversity team is managed by Icilda Stewart, the Senior
Diversity Programme Manager, whose work also supports the Corporate Equality Agenda.
