This function is responsible for ensuring Children's Services meets legislative requirements in relation to the full range of equalities and diversity strands. 

The post is also responsible for ensuring services are reviewed in the context of the equalities through the use of the 'Equality Impact Assessments'.

We have a statutory duty to ensure Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) are carried out on our policies and functions to eliminate unlawful discrimination and to promote equality and good relations.
