FAQ for The Mayor's Appeal | Contact for The Mayor's Appeal

As well as performing civic duties, the Mayor will select a national or local charity to support during their year of office. The Mayor's Appeal Committee will raise money by organising a wide range of events, functions and activities. All money raised goes direct to the Mayor's chosen charity at the end of the Mayoral year.

The Mayor's Appeals for 2008/09 are two charities:

Dream Factory
Dream Factory relieves the suffering of children and young people with life limiting or terminal illnesses or severe disabilities by granting wishes and dreams in order to bring happiness and joy.

Haven House
Haven House Children’s Hospice provides short term respite care and end of life care, for children aged 0-19 years with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
