The Standards Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct by Members, co-opted members and church/parent governors by monitoring the operation of and advising the Council on the adoption or revision of the Members' Code of Conduct and dealing with complaints about Members.

The Committee can also grant dispensations from requirements relating to interests set out in the Members' code of conduct and oversee other arrangements for the maintenance of probity allocated from time to time by the church.
