Annual Report 2007/8

The year 2007/08 was the first year full year in which a dedicated team of officers supported scrutiny committees and this resource has enabled the scrutiny process within Redbridge to develop a higher profile both within the Council and externally.

The Scrutiny Annual Report 2007-08 provides feedback on the work undertaken by Redbridge’s 8 scrutiny committees during the period June 2007 to May 2008 and outlines:

  • key achievements and successes of each of committees in 2007/08;
  • the various scrutiny reviews; and
  • some of the key recommendations made to Cabinet.

Scrutiny Good practice Guide 

The Scrutiny Good Practice Guide (PDF 127KB) provides Councillors and Council officers with advice, guidance and practical steps on how to achieve successful scrutiny. It is based on experience of scrutiny in Redbridge to date, best practice research and examples from other local authorities.
