Our key strategic partners in health and the
Police were brought into the project early and have helped shape
our thinking. Keen supporters of the site they are well
placed to reap the benefits of its transactional and citizen
engagement features. The site’s use of property-referenced
data, interactive mapping, online consultation, events promotion,
online recruitment, SMS & text alerts and improved
transactional capacity make it a compelling prospect for our
partners. As they themselves have said:
“The new generation
website Redbridge i and neighbourhood policing are complementary
tools in delivering our common goal of community engagement and
improving the effectiveness of local services. The' i' is an
effective way of getting information to and from neighbourhood
which we will be using to the full”.(Chief Superintendent Dave Grant, Borough
Commander, Metropolitan Police Redbridge).
“Redbridge PCT
recognises the potential of the new generation website to promote
the health of our community. It will give up to the minute
information about health services and gives us greater ability to
involve neighbourhoods and interest groups in shaping a collective
approach to the pursuit healthy living”(Heather O'Meara, Chief Executive, Redbridge
Primary Care Trust).
We are currently developing a number of
partner-led applications including a micro-site for our
local strategic partnership, through which they
will be able to utilise many of our innovative applications whilst
retaining an independent URL.
Our local faith and
youth communities are also working with us to
develop their own online presence through the site. They too
will benefit from being linked in to the main site to deliver a far
more cost-effective and sophisticated interaction with users.
These areas will make use of the site’s capacity to offer
user-generated content and bespoke mini-sitelets.
