Launched at the end of June 2007,
Redbridge i investigates and exploits a host of new methods,
to reach out and build closer relationships between the Council and
citizens. The implications for democratic engagement;
for shaping neighbourhoods and towns; and for public service
delivery, are profound.

& interactive mapping to facilitate wider
take-up of local services and facilities.
- User personalisation,
allowing the users to tailor Redbridgei to meet their needs and
interests.
- Customer segmentation approach to
portal development and access to services and
features.
- SMS and email alerts for
key services and events, meetings.
- Improved transactional
capacity from paying bills to booking services.
- New platforms to engage the
public, including online consultation, discussion forums,
blogs and newsletters. Users may also use the site to
promote community-organised events, and submit articles for
our monthly printed newspaper – Redbridge Life.
- Interactive report-it
facility enabling residents to track progress on reported
issues.
- We recommend the site
records the activity of registered users and automatically
recommends other areas of potential interest.
- Recorded history the
site records searches made by registered users it and displays them
when they return.
- FAQ section displaying
the top five most frequently asked questions and links to the full
range of council FAQ’s
- Detailed analytical data of site
use to enable us to monitor usage and continually update
and adapt the site to meet user needs and requirements.
