Environment Partnership Cluster

Construction of Uphall ParkAttracted £500,000 external funding to improve Uphall Park in south Ilford.

Redbridge Business Cluster

Secured £200,000 funding over three years from the London Development Agency (LDA) for the Jobnet project, a job brokerage scheme which is expected to place 420 people into jobs and provide support for a further 800.

Successfully bid for £347,000 over three years from the LDA's Opportunities fund for Hainault Business Park Ltd, to develop and enhance the programme of crime prevention measures, recycling and waste management, work placement for young people, business support and networking activities.

Secured £2 million from central government to buy land as part of the Unity Square project in Ilford Town Centre. A further £2.34 million was obtained for complementary works to highways infrastructure.Formal opening of Uphall Park

Community Safety Cluster

Established a Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Extended services for victims of hate crime, making them easier to access, by providing outreach surgeries, a community witness support scheme, 20 reporting centres and a Racist Harassment Response Group to manage individual cases.

Set up a Street Scene Enforcement Team, made up of Council officers working closely with the Police, to provide a seamless service across the Borough.

The Redbridge Faith Forum led a successful bid for £76,000 from central government to improve community cohesion.
