Side View of Valentines MansionSecured capital funding of £3.2 million to improve infrastructure in key greenspaces, such as a new visitor centre at Ray Park and the restoration of the Valentines Mansion in Valentines Park.

Secured £110,000 grant for Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Project.

Olympic Cluster

Successfully negotiated for the £5.5 million relocation of Hackney Eastway cycle centre to Hog Hill in Redbridge, to help improve the health and well-being of residents and provide first class facilities to Olympic hopefuls in and out of the Borough.

Attracted £200,000 funding and invested an extra £250,000 in current leisure and sport infrastructure offer to the local community, to strenghen Redbridge's role within the 2012 Olympics.

Consulted young people with disabilities to help shape the 2012 Paralympic Games.
