Redbridge Strategic Partnership (RSP)

Redbridge Strategic Partnership (RSP) is a single body that brings together different parts of the public sector - such as the council, police, fire and health service - as well as the private, business, community and voluntary sectors to support each other and work together in partnership to achieve mutual aims for the benefit of Redbridge.

It is a non-statutory, non-executive organisation that operates at a level where strategic decisions can be taken and is close enough to individual neighbourhoods to allow actions to be determined at community level.

We wanted to give everyone a voice on the issues that matter most to secure genuine commitment from the Public, Private, Voluntary and Community sectors.

We now have over 100 organisations that are part of the RSP covering a public service board, a core group and eight cluster groups (Health and Well Being, Culture and Learning, Safer Communities, Enterprise, Environment, Children and Young People, Olympics and Community Cohesion). A list of the RSP organisations can be found here.

The RSP has led on the development and publication of the Sustainable Community Strategy (PDF 1.51MB), setting out the vision and aspiration of the Redbridge Strategic Partnership. The Local Area Agreement (LAA) (PDF 207KB), which will act as the delivery plan for the Sustainable Community Strategy, was approved by Central Government in July 2008. The RSP is now working towards delivering on LAA targets.

The partnership carried out a review of the LAA which was submitted to Central Government in March 2009. The refreshed LAA document (115Kb) was signed off by the Secretary of State in April 2009. The refresh process focussed on agreeing targets with government that were outstanding at the time of the submission of the LAA in May 2008.

The Partnership's vision is that 'in 10 years, Redbridge will be a safe and clean place, where people are proud to live, work and invest. A place that is caring, vibrant and healthy'.
