The Buy With Confidence scheme (BWC) is already popular with businesses and consumers across the South of England and Redbridge Council along with its partners in the Town Centre Alliance has decided that the time is right to bring the same benefits to its local residents and town centre shoppers.

Shops that pass the checks carried out by Trading Standards Officers will be able to use the  BWC logo in local advertising and on shop windows. Their name will also be added to the searchable Buy With Confidence website.

Businesses are being visited regularly over the coming weeks with more information but any shop within the town centre that would like to apply for membership should call 020 8554 5000.

Residents can also nominate shops to join the scheme if they think they have received excellent customer satisfaction and service by calling the same number.

It should not be considered as an assurance that a member business complies with all legal requirements relating to that business. Redbridge Council cannot guarantee that the goods or services being offered by a member business will never give rise to a complaint, however should this occur, advice and help can be provided by use of the free mediation process provided by the scheme.
