Ilford Tops UK's Business League

Redbridge really is a great place to start a business, but don't just take our word for it. A recent Post Office report announced that Ilford has the UK’s fastest-growing business population, according to the Royal Mail’s latest annual business barometer.

The number of active businesses in the town, birthplace of the boxer Nigel Benn and the actor Dame Maggie Smith, increased by 3.74 per cent over the six months to August 2007 – well above the 2.4 per cent national average. Last year, Ilford was in fifth place, with growth of 3.6 per cent.
