If you are applying for a new special treatments licence you
must advertise your application by placing a poster on the premises
and advertising in a local newspaper.
Exhibition of public notice on the premises
On the date on which an application is made for a
licence you will be required to display a Notice in a
place where it can easily by seen and read by persons in the street
or adjoining public places. The notice must be displayed for a
period of 28 days.
If the notice is found to be severely defaced, damaged or
missing, a new Notice will be required to be displayed for a
further 28 days.
A display notice declaration must be
completed and returned to confirm that you have complied
with this instruction. Both the notice and
the confirmation are available for download.
Exhibition of public notice (newspaper)
Within seven days of applying for a new licence, a notice
advertising your application must be published in a local
newspaper in the style provided by the Council.
A copy of the newspaper advertisement must be made available
to the Council within 14 days of the application being
submitted
The advertisement must be in the style provided by the Council
which is available for download.
