This has nothing to do with gambling. It is a licence to enable retail outlets to sell pheasant, wild duck, venison, hare, etc. under the Game Act 1831 as amended by the Local Government Act 1894. The requirement to hold such a licence was ended by the government with effect from 01 August 2007. Accordingly the Council no longer issues them.
