Online public register

For certain licences and registrations, the licensing authority has a duty to keep a licensing register. The register keeps information on alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment, gambling and Special Treatment licenses.  Street Trading licenses are currently not available online. You can access the online public register for full details of the licences.

More say for local people

The Licensing Act 2003 gives a person, body representing persons or someone in business in the vicinity of the premises more power, as you have the right to object to licence applicationsappeal decisions and ask for reviews of any licences in place. You will have the opportunity to make representations to the licensing authority about the effect on the promotion of the licensing objectives of the application.

Before making representations, you may wish to look at the licensing policy statement (PDF 2.96 MB) which sets out the council’s policy about alcohol, public entertainment and late night refreshment licensing.

For information on enforcement action we have taken please go to the name and shame pages.

We have also provided some general information on licensing.
