Revitalising Redbridge
We have ambitious plans to regenerate the borough in
and around key transport hubs and town centres. We intend to
maximise the benefits of our involvement in the Thames Gateway and
transport developments in east London by focusing on:
- Town centre regeneration in Ilford
- Housing-led regeneration at Gants Hill
- Development of secondary shopping centres
- Protection of the borough’s green belt and open spaces
With the London Olympics in
2012 being based in the East of London, Redbridge
is ideally located to attract and stimulate investment in new
homes/local business enterprise, jobs and visitors, especially to
Ilford Town Centre and it's secondary retail locations.
