The East Ilford Business Partnership was set up in 2005 to provide support to businesses on Green Lane in Ilford and Seven Kings.  They are thriving centres, primarily based upon independent retailers and small businesses, with a number of larger traders, such as Homebase, McDonalds and Aldi centred around Seven Kings.  In the short time they have been established, they have already been instrumental in the removal of an offending telephone box, installed Christmas lights and held numerous street entertainments. 

East Ilford has been shown to have capacity for improving the local economy, particularly given the projected future growth of Ilford Town Centre and this will be supported by future partnership with this group.  Future plans may also encompass areas further east, including Goodmayes and Chadwell Heath.
