Earlier this week I had the chance to talk to Lord Coe, the Olympics chief, who was updating London council leaders on progress with organising the 2012 Games. Lord Coe also unveiled the new pin badges for each London borough, which combines the 2012 logo with an image associated with the Borough.
After a public vote, Redbridge residents chose the statue of Winston Churchill on Woodford Green. I took the opportunity to ask Lord Coe about concessions around tickets for Londoners who are hosting and helping to pay for the 2012 Games. Apparently there are some problems in European law with giving preferential rates but Lord Coe said he would look at the options.
